InText and the next generation of linguists

The future begins with supporting those who are just getting started — and we’re here to guide them!

At InText, we believe that helping young professionals grow is key to building a better future for the language industry. That’s why we collaborate with local universities to help students gain an understanding of what it means to be a modern language professional.

As part of our initiative, we regularly organize:

• An orientation session where we talk about career possibilities and share helpful resources for learning and entering the field
• A guest webinar with our in-house senior editor, who describes a typical linguist’s workday, real-life challenges, and the editor’s role
• A hands-on assignment in which students complete practical linguistic tasks
• A final feedback session, where we review student submissions, offer tips for improvement, and demonstrate key features of localization tools

For us, this initiative is about empowerment and collaboration. It has already helped us meet several talented participants who have since joined the InText team (shout-out to Taisiia Mazokha, Polina Hotto, and Anna Samoilich).

This is just one of the ways we ensure that the future of the language industry will be bright.
