Ukraine has adapted to a new reality. The hum of generators and glow of flashlights in the evening hours have become common again as we face Russian attacks on our energy infrastructure.
Power outages are now part of our daily planning. Businesses and individuals alike have had to adjust. Large companies have invested in multiple generators, small businesses align operating hours with power availability, and Ukrainians across the country rely on portable power stations for home use.
At InText’s office in Dnipro, we had two small 5 kW generators at the beginning of the full-scale war. But they weren’t enough to supply the whole office during the first blackouts and power outages in autumn 2022. That’s when we upgraded to a powerful 65 kW industrial generator and added an uninterrupted Starlink satellite internet connection as a backup to our high bandwidth internet lines.
Moreover, we support neighboring businesses by sharing our power supply in case of emergency. Our generator automatically powers InText’s office operations, a local café, several small offices, and our building’s boiler house, providing heat, when it is necessary.
Yet, Ukraine’s energy challenges persist. That’s why we’re getting an additional industrial 96 kW generator to power the entire building and serve as a backup for our current system. The new, more powerful generator, will allow us to power a nearby small medical clinic in case of necessity.
Ukraine is a unique country with creative and talented people, and our Ukrainian office’s team proves it daily, finding solutions in tough situations. By working with Ukrainian companies, you’re not just receiving services – you’re supporting the nation’s resilience.
